Fall Programs

Our fall programs have something for everyone! Whether you are just getting started in the sport, looking to supplement your training during the school season, or want position-specific training through our academies, we have something to suit your needs! Read more info on all of our programs, below. Programs will run from Sept. 9 through Nov 24, 2024. We do accept late registrations.

All of our programs are priced with the goal of being in the range of $10 per hour of training. This allows us to cover court rental costs and coaching honorariums.

Please note: fall programs are 12 weeks this year, compared with only 8 or 10 in previous years. The added weeks will be reflected in this year’s pricing.

PD Day Daycamps

New for fall, we are proud to offer day-long camps for PD Days (HRCE Schools) from Sept through December. Camp will take place from 8:00 - 4:00pm and provide a full day of skills training and game play. Activities will be competitive and challenging.

Sept 30, Oct 11, Oct 25, Nov 11, Dec 5.

Previous club experience or current enrolment in one of our fall programs is required.

Please note, this camp is intended for players serious about training and looking to get extra reps! This is not a generic daycamp service.

Introductory individual skills (12u, 13u, 14u)

This program is a great way for new players to learn the basics needed to feel confident in school or club tryouts. The program is 12 weeks, with 2 training sessions per week for a total of roughly 40 training hours.

Players will learn to serve and pass, and attack and defend. It is a great compliment to our Falleyball League program!

Fall-eyball League

A perfect program for new or experienced players! Players will learn foundational systems for serve receive, defence, and offence, and all skills required to execute those systems. Practices will be weekly, and games bi-weekly.

Our Fall League is also available as an add-on option for any player attending our academy program or individuals skills programs.

Fundamental individual Skills Training (13u, 14u, 15u/16u)


You can never have enough training reps for improving fundamental skills! This program is Intended for athletes looking to make an upper level competitive team for the 2025 club season. Participants will work on the foundations they established during their previous seasons to develop more flow and consistency in their game.

Total program hours is roughly 80 hours of training. Jump serving, Back-row offence, out-of-system offence, split-step on receive, scoop defence, in-game transitions, and attack coverage are all concepts that will be implemented in our two weekly practices.
Participants also receive two 90-min sessions hour each week with our strength and conditioning coaches to develop more resilient and robust movement patterns, improve on agility and explosiveness, and all-around athleticism.

Previous team experience is required for 13u and 14u athletes. (Players without team experience should enrol in our Intro to Foundational Skills). 15u or 16u athletes without team experience are permitted to enrol in this program.

Intermediate individual skills training (15u and up)

Participants will work to refine existing skills for footwork, mechanics, and the technical and tactical aspects of the game. Serving, receiving, hitting, blocking, transitioning, out of system setting, and defence. Participants also receive a 90-min sessions each week with our strength and conditioning coaches.

This program is designed to be a compliment to training for any athlete playing on a school team, and is schedule to allow participation in both. Given the nature of the school volleyball season, little focus is placed on individual skills during practice as the bulk of the season is spent on team tactics to prep for the season’s heavy competition load. Athletes can get the individualized reps they need to improve their game, and improve their athletic resilience in our weight room.

Total program hours is roughly 65 hours of training.

Previous club experience is required. This is not an introductory program.

**High School aged programming will occur on Fridays and Sundays to minimize conflict with school team schedules.

MiniVolley (7u, 9u, 11u)

Introductory Volleyball on Sunday in Halifax and Bedford!

We are the original MiniVolley club! Our coaches have been offering programs for ages 5-10 since 2013. We teach the FUNdamentals of volleyball using smaller teams and courts, while using lower nets and lighter balls.

Setters Academy (Grades 7-9 or 10-12)

Position specific training for setters. Participants will work on footwork, setting mechanics, and the technical and tactical aspects of running an offence. Training occurs in small groups with the utilization of video feedback. Players will also receive functional strength and weight training in a high performance environment from certified strength coaches.

This is not an intro program and is intended only for players who want to improve their setting.

**High School aged programming will occur on Sundays as to not interfere with athletes who play on their school teams.

Libero Academy (Grades 7-9 or 10-12)

Position specific training for Liberos - or outside hitters look to improve on serve receive and defence. Participants will work on splitstep footwork, scoop defence, independent arms, platform angles, creating space, diving, reading hitters, and setting for out of system offence. Training occurs in small groups with the utilization of video feedback.

Previous club volleyball experience is required. This is NOT an intro program.

**High School aged programming will occur on Sundays as to not interfere with athletes who play on their school teams.

Hitters/Servers Academy (Grades 6-9)

Participants will work on approach foot work and mechanics, armswing mechanics, and various attacking principles. Participants will also learn a variety of serving styles, techniques, and tactics. Training occurs in small groups with the utilization of video feedback.

Middles Academy (Grades 9-12)

Position specific training for Middles. Middle is the most complex offensive position on the court. Players will learn to run a variety of attack routes and plays, including the pop and float routes, 51, 31, 61, and slide attacks. Players will be introduced to the concept of blocking systems, and will work on splitstep footwork for blocking, and blocking mechanics. Emphasis will be on training to have middle attackers being available in transition. Training occurs in small groups with the utilization of video feedback.

Previous club experience is mandatory.

**High School aged programming will occur on Sundays as to not interfere with athletes who play on their school teams.

High performance Stream (Tryouts required)


Selection for this program will take place in September. Training will align with LTAD framework recommended by Volleyball Canada. Athletes in this stream will experience fall competitions in New Brunswick, and international competition in January and June in addition to the Volleyball Nova Scotia Club season.

This program is intended for athletes who strive to reach the next level.
